Can you show me again?
[7] who executes justice for the oppressed,
who gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets the prisoners free;
[8] the LORD opens the eyes of the blind.
The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down;
the LORD loves the righteous.
[9] The LORD watches over the sojourners;
he upholds the widow and the fatherless,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
(Psalm 146:7-9 ESV)
Does this sound familiar? To think that the Religious Leaders of Jesus' time knew about this and were prideful of it! Yet, they refused to see how Jesus Christ was proving Himself to be the Savior of the World, and the LORD of all. Silly, silly people..
Watch this..
Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand.. (Matthew 14:13-21) (Psalm 146:7 "....who gives food to the hungry..")
Jesus Rejected at Nazareth.. (Luke 4:16-20) (Psalm 146:7 "....The LORD sets the prisoners free...") (Jesus was quoting Isaiah 61).
Jesus heals the blind.. (More than once in the New Testament..) (Psalm 147:8 "....the LORD opens the eyes of the blind..")
Jesus heals the cripple and the lame.. (Matthew 15:30-31) (Psalm 146:8 "...the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down...")
Jesus and the death of Lazarus... (John 11) (Psalm 146:8 "..the LORD loves the righteous...")
Good grief! Can He be any more specific? The Best part about it is that He continues to show us who he is! Thank you LORD!
Man, oh Man, God's Word is amazing. (:
